Selene

First images of autumn with students going back to university and long weekend getaways in the car as the leaves grace us with changing color, one thought comes to mind... Selene!

Selene is perfect for these moments and so much more.  This handbag showcases the leather you choose beautifully.  A dependable tote that will take care of all your large capacity needs but also looks fabulous with very little in her.  When your belongings are few, she puddles down into blissful folds of leather.  Alternatively if she is full to the brim, she sits up straight.  Both ways she is just beautiful!  Selene is exactly one of those bags that immediately makes you think “this is an essential style and every woman should have at least one in her collection.”

The brilliance of her design is such that she cinches in by use of an interior clip modifying her silhouette to a narrow top.  As we have joyfully come to discover, Marco provides us with options, so that we may decide which best suits our personal taste.  With that in mind, Selene Midi was created, a medium version of original Selene.  As well as Selene Zip and Selene Midi Zip.  They possess two exterior long zipper front pockets.  These vertical small zippers pockets are not only functional but delightfully add a little edge to the bag.  The double straps with their buckle and stud detailing are very comfortable on the shoulder and distribute the weight of your belongings evenly.

One of the features I love is the wide open top, it is very easy to get into and place larger items when needed.  If you are like me, and enjoy seeing the stunning combination of your interior lining next to the leather top border, then Selene is your girl.  When I glance into the interior and my eye catches that leather border marrying into the lining in such a harmonious way, it still makes me swoon to this day!

My favorite Massaccesi leathers with this style are: Pebbled (because she was my first!) and one cannot go wrong with the beautiful Pebbled leathers.  Merinos, especially if you are looking for a lightweight tote, Vacchetta, if your preference is for leathers that are thick and chewy, Nabuk, as they are deliciously luxe and rich, and last but not least, the wonderful Africas for their fabulous texture and worry free in inclement weather.

As you venture out to bask in the splendor of autumn, Selene is ready to be your loyal companion!
