MASSACCESI Limited Edition Vacchetta

Swoon!  Uno, due, tre Vacchetta!  Marco has sourced some beautiful Limited Edition Vacchetta leathers and we cannot wait to share them with you!  A gorgeous Red, Tangerine and Ecru are now available to order in any of our MM styles. 

The Vacchetta leathers are truly unique and incredibly special.  I asked Marco some questions about these leathers and he was very pleased to provide details.  “Our Vacchetta is colored by hand, we call that 'tamponato a mano' that is the reason why the color is never so regular, there are darker and lighter areas.  Even the surface is sometimes more flat and in other areas more wrinkled.  It takes on a life of its own allowing each handbag to develop individual character.”

“The red is very deep, although not Bordeaux, it is quite deep in hue and saturation.”
“Tangerine is a stunning color and quite uncommon to find on a vegetable tanned Vacchetta.”  Our Ecru is a true neutral, equally warm or cool depending on hardware choice.”

Last September we learned from Marco about the different sizes of title (thread) and needles.  Marco goes on to share with us now “Vacchetta is a fine example of a thick leather that requires a 120 needle and title 20 for external stitching while title 30 is used for internal stitching.”
